Boreal Brewers Bylaws
We the members of the Boreal Brewers have come together as a non-profit corporation to promote the craft of homebrewing in Northern Minnesota, educating the public by hosting exhibitions of homebrewed products through a series of annual tastings, brewing classes, brewing demonstrations and through publication of events and activities on a web site.
Article I
Sec. 1
The organization shall be called the Boreal Brewers and the web site will be www.borealbrewers.com
Sec. 2
Voting members shall include all members who have paid current dues, and have attended at least one meeting per year.
Sec. 3
Membership dues are $10.00 per year, payable after January first.
Article II
Sec. 1
The Boreal Brewers shall have a regular meeting a minimum of four times each year which may be concurrent with tastings and other official events.
Sec. 2
A regular meeting is defined as one called by the President through email to all members with an email address known to the organization, posted notice on the front page of the Boreal Brewers web site, and posted notice on the calendar of the same site, at least one week in advance of the meeting.
Article III
Sec. 1
The Board of the Boreal Brewers shall constitute the policy making body of the organization.
Sec. 2
The Board shall include the President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, Historian/Librarian, Brewmaster, and Webmaster.
Sec. 3
The Board shall be elected for a two-year term at a regular meeting in March on odd numbered years.
Sec. 4
Duties of the Board shall include:
A. To meet at any time as called by the president. These meetings to begin at 6:00 p.m.
B. To implement policies and actions reflecting resolutions passed at the meetings of the Boreal Brewers.
Article IV
Sec. 1
These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority of those active members present at a regular meeting of the Boreal Brewers.
