We have two samplings coming up next week, and could use some assistance. Both are on Thursday August 24th. One runs from 3:00 – 7:00, the other from 5:00 – 6:00. Please review the information here, and use the links to Doodle polls to indicate if you can participate. Please use the note function in the poll to indicate if you can be there, or just could provide a six pack or so of beer.
The North Central Research and Outreach Center (U of M) hosts an annual Visitor’s Day on the ICC campus. We began working with them last year, and served samples as tour groups showed up at our table. Tour groups will arrive with questions on brewing, ingredients, styles – the typical questions we get while serving samples. We need two people to staff this sampling, either staying the full four hours, or just working for two. The poll lets you select which. Set up would begin at 2 PM. There’s water, snacks and a dinner ticket for any brewers who participate.
The Eldercircle Harvest Dinner is an annual event that we have supported since its inception. There’s a one-hour timeframe for serving samples beginning at 5:00, then the dinner begins at 6:00. It will be held at the Luney Berries Strawberry Farm in Cohasset, 41237 County Rd 63. Set up will need to begin about 4:00. There are dinner tickets for a set number of brewers. Stay for the auction, it’s a riot!
