The Deer River BBQ and Brewfest is just a few days away, Saturday July 15! We need YOU to step up and enter some beer for competition, and serve some samples to the public. It’s easy, there are prizes, and since this is a BJCP sanctioned competition, the judges’ notes on your beers will be mailed to you afterward. It is one of the best ways to get quality feedback on your beer.
As of 7/11/17 there are just five homebrewers confirmed as competing. This happens every year – people wait until the last minute to commit. Please consider any role – entering beer for completion, serving beer to the public, judging beer, sharing beer among homebrewers and eating great BBQ! There are 16 BBQ teams entered so far, so there should be some great eating! The event will be in a new location, on HWY 2 in Deer River, so we expect it to be the biggest yet.
The Deer River BBQ and Brewfest is an annual community event, run through the Deer River Chamber of Commerce.
