Hey, brewers! Once more, the Boreal Brewers will have a special ‘pavilion’ for serving homebrew at the upcoming Grand Rapids Oktoberfest. We had a great time last year, and are looking forward to the same great time this year. See last year’s photos.
We need members who are interested in contributing or serving beer. Last year we served ten different beers, and needed five servers for the first hour, then the crowd decreased and we only needed four, then three servers. If you bring beer, you don’t need to bring a lot. We serve two ounce samples, and most people will try just a few. If we run out of a particular beer, we just erase it from the beer list on the white board.
It’s important that we know ahead of time who’s going to be there so we can coordinate, including setting up around 4 PM and making sure we’re ready. If you are interested in contributing or serving, please contact Steve Benson – spbevets@hotmail.com
We hope to see you at Oktoberfest regardless! September 26th, 5 PM start.
Oktoberfest is conducted by the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation.

I’m bringing a Doppelbock and Oktoberfest that I brewed last January, plus a Weihenstephaner Wheat, and American Wheat, Root Beer, Cream soda and some other coveted beer selections.
I’ll be bringing an Oktoberfest that I brewed back in March just for this event. I’ll also bring a couple other beers to sample. I really look forward to the big day.
