The Boreal Brewers will gather to celebrate the annual Big Brew Day, brewing along with thousands of other brewers around the globe on Saturday May 3rd. Big Brew Day was created and is supported by the American Homebrewers Association. We will continue our club’s focus on a public exhibition of brewing. A number of brewers are planning to brew between noon and 6 PM, and we’ll have informational equipment and supplies on hand. Anyone can stop by, watch the brewing process or participate. We will begin brews at 12PM, 2 PM and 3 PM for people who want to stop by later to see the process, try some chili or hot soup, or some fresh-baked beer bread. Join us and share the day with over 8,000 homebrewers around the globe who will be brewing the same recipes on the same day (give or take an international date line or two). Bring a chair if you plan on spending some time.
If it’s raining, we’ll have tents up. If it’s cold, you can lean over a boiling hot brew kettle and enjoy steamy warmth and the savor of hops and malt.
We will begin setting up late morning in the parking lot of Wine Creations, and start with the traditional kick off toast at noon. Please contact us if you’re intending to brew with us this day, or just have questions. Look up Wine Creations on Facebook.
